Adventure is calling, it's time to elope! You are considering Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Or you have already chosen it. There are so many incredible spots for a ceremony. How do you choose? To answer this, there are a few things to consider. Keep reading to find out the best places to elope in Jackson Hole.
H O W M A N Y Q U E S T S?
The answer to this question will determine the best location for your ceremony. Not all locations can accommodate large groups. Keep in mind, most elopements have up to 20 guests. If it is going to be the two of you, that opens your options. When you start adding guests you will want to start considering the following:
-Parking. Does the location in mind provide enough parking?
-Bathrooms. Are there bathrooms accessible? Will any of your guests need to have one accessible?
-Accessibility. How easy is it to get to the location? Does the route need a 4x4 vehicle? If so, is this accessible to all guests? Will you have to hike to your location? Are all guests able to hike?
When you have your answers, you can start eliminating locations that do not meet your needs.

No crowds are ideal for an elopement. Sometimes that is unavoidable. An important question to ask yourself is, "how important is our privacy?" You should first feel safe and comfortable on your special day. If having privacy is important to you, then there are locations in Jackson Hole that will be better for you.

Your experience on your elopement day is crucial. That is one of the main reasons why couples elope. They elope for a unique experience.
Ask yourself what you want your experience to be. Do you want to hike on a trail surrounded by the mountain views? Do you want to be on top on the cliffs and see the incredible views from below? Do you want your day to be all about connecting in nature or a little nature and a little of the Jackson Hole life?
Jackson Hole has so many places to elope. All perfect for a ceremony in their own right. Never choose a location because it's pretty. Take the time to sit down, determine your needs and then choose a location that best suits those needs.

Now that we have broken down things to consider let's dive into some of the best places to elope in Jackson Hole.
Grand Teton National Park
GTNP is abundant in natural beauty. It has over 300,000 acres for you to explore. hundreds of pinnacles, and giant balanced rocks. You could spend all day in GTNP and still not have covered everything there is to see. In the summer, the valleys are painted with vibrant wildflowers. The lakes mirror the lakes, creating the most picturesque background. If you are a nature lover, you will not be disappointed.
GTNP has so many locations you can elope in. Some of my favorite spots are:
-Schwabacher Landing (This is where you can find the mirrored mountains in the lake)
-Mormon Row (This area can get busy with visitors, but it is surrounded by public land. Finding a less crowded area is super easy).
-Jenny Lake (If you are up for an adventure, I recommend taking the short ferry ride across the lake. Enjoy a beautiful hike on the mountain and take in the views of a water fall).
Every location in GTNP will require a permit. There are several bathrooms located throughout the park. Most locations have large parking lots but do fill up quickly during peak times and/or season. Not all locations will allow pets.
The Wedding Tree
Located just outside Grand Teton National Park. You get the best of both worlds. Surrounded by the views of Bridger-Teton National Forest and the towering Tetons, making the perfect backdrop for a ceremony. The wedding tree is a large, old, tree standing on its own. It stands strong on top of a cliff, creating a fairytale like view.
This location does require a permit. It can accommodate some guests. There is some parking available but is limited. The walk from the parking area to the tree is short but rough ground. I would not recommend this spot for anyone requiring handicap accommodations or has difficulty walking.
Public Land
There are public lands spots throughout the national park. You can get away from the crowds and still have all of the wonderful views. I would recommend these spots for couples wanting little to no guests (5 max) and are not wanting to bring any large decor with them (arches, chairs, etc).
