This Boulder, Colorado Elopement will be your guide to your 2024 wedding planning journey.
It’s been a few weeks since I shot one of the most memorable elopements. On January 1, 2024, I traveled to Boulder Colorado for the elopement of Danielle & Keisha.
There’s a lot that goes into a New Year's Day wedding. Any winter wedding, especially in Colorado can be tricky. Then there’s this uncertainty photographers feel when shooting their first wedding of the year. It’s almost as if they are waiting to see if it will set the tone for their upcoming wedding season. Let’s make one thing clear….this elopement set the tone for 2024. Oh and is it going to be good!
Some of you may be wondering why and how. Why did this Boulder, Colorado elopement set the tone for 2024? How did this elopement set the tone for 2024? How will it inspire my 2024 wedding planning journey? Let's first dive into one of the leading trends for 2024 weddings.
One of the things you will see trending in elopements and weddings for 2024 is floral lapels. You are not going to see the one flower anymore. Creativity has made its appearance and we are here for it! Another thing you will see this 2024 wedding season are color blocks and/or blending of color palettes.
Keisha wore a floral lapel that showcased their wedding color palette. Historically, weddings have had 2-3 colors. There has been an increase in weddings using a color palette (typically 4-5 colors). Keisha's floral lapel was designed by N O L O Events. Based in Colorado, they specialize in design services, catering, boba, and mobile bar. They did an incredible job with Keisha's lapel!
While I was preparing a sneak peek for Danielle and Keisha all I could say was, “daaaamn”. I will share more about their elopement day when their gallery is finished. For now, though take a look at this Boulder elopement sneak peek.
