Estes Park Elopement | Alternatives for Eloping in Rocky Mountain National Park

Estes Park Elopement

The Best Estes Park Elopement Locations

Considering an Estes Park elopement? It is possible to elope in Estes Park, CO without eloping in Rocky Mountain National Park. Estes Park is the closest town to Rocky Mountain National Park. It is right next to one of the main entrances to the park. There are pros and cons to having your elopement in the park. RMNP is one of the busiest national parks. For this reason, some couples would like to avoid the crowds altogether. Getting permits to elope in the park can be tricky because there are a limited amount and fill up quickly. An Estes Park elopement makes the perfect alternative to eloping in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Hermit Park Open Space in Estes Park, Colorado is a wonderful alternative to RMNP. Beautiful nature is abundant, trails for those who want the hiking experience, and far less crowds. There is a covered pavilion that can hold up to 150 people. This is a great option for those wanting to have a smaller wedding.

This couple got to experience a private ceremony, time with family and friends and their own adventure in nature. All within a 5-minute drive. If you are looking for a similar experience, I would recommend looking into Hermit Park Open Space Pavilion. You can get more information on reservations here.

Another Estes Park Elopement location is Venue on the Rocks. It is located in one of the best spots in Estes Park! It is just down the road from the main entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. If you want just pictures taken in the park you will not need a permit. Your photographer will need a special use permit. When you're done and want to celebrate with friends and family you can head down to the Venue on the Rocks!

This venue can hold a little over 100 guests. There are bathrooms and electricity on site. They allow outside catering and a DJ as well. One of my favorite things about this venue is its pond. It is home to many beautiful ducks and has the best tree cover. It is picture-perfect!

I highly recommend this venue for all fall weddings. The golden colors are breathtaking. There are views of the mountains as well as a small creek you can enjoy. Click on the link below to watch a video I shot from last fall.
