Ben & Elizabeth's Unforgettable Estes Park Elopement Day

Ben & Elizabeth made the journey from California to Estes Park, Colorado in September of 2023. Having lived in Colorado, they knew they wanted to avoid the crowds of Rocky Mountain National Park. Especially, since their elopement day fell on Labor Day Weekend. For those of you who do not know, Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the busiest national parks in the country. If you want to elope in the Estes Park area but want something more low-key and intimate, I would encourage you to read Ben & Elizabeth's story. Their experience of their Estes Park Elopement was perfect.

Ben & Elizabeth chose Hermit Park Open Space for their Estes Park elopement location. They invited their closest friends and family to celebrate their special day. Colorado was having an unseasonably rainy year. It did rain for most of the day, but as fate would have it, the rain let up during their ceremony. The backup plan was to have the ceremony under the pavilion they reserved. With the rain letting up, they moved everything outside. There is a large open area which gives plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable and allows for a stunning backdrop!

Fall colors were painting the landscape. Still some green to be seen but where there was green were also shades of browns, mustard yellows, and tans. The smell of rain filled the lungs. A little chill in the breeze but the nearby firepit sent a welcoming warmth to the air. A wandering eye could see the Aspens were starting to change color. It was quiet and peaceful, the only thing to be heard was the joyful chatter from guests.

After the ceremony and family pictures, Ben & Elizabeth set out to the forest for pictures. During this adventure up one side of a mountain was a special gift from nature; a double rainbow. Nature's blessing perhaps?

The rain did pick up during their pictures in the forest. I will say this about rain and pictures...it does not disappoint! If anything, the rain only added to the intimacy of their special moment together.

Ben & Elizabeth's Estes Park Elopement was incredible. So many core memories were created. Everything they wanted for their special day was had. Hermit Park allowed for the space to enjoy quality time with their friends and family. It felt like a secluded place up in the mountains.
